Dr. Ricciotti has constantly carried out her scientific activity in very close contact with acknowledged personalities in the Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche of the “Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II” and in the Dipartimento di Ingegneria of the “Università degli Studi di Napoli Parthenope”, Italy. This training has produced a deep knowledge of laboratory techniques in the field of organic synthesis and material chemistry. The acquired competences span from the knowledge of the typical chemicophysical characterization techniques of the materials (spectroscopic, thermal and structural) to analysis more application oriented (electrical and mechanical). Her scientific personality is enriched by a polyhedral totality of interests, which involve the wide area of organic and inorganic chemistry, from investigation of fundamental reaction mechanisms to the development of new strategic molecules, polymers and advanced materials (composites and hybrids) for innovative application fields, e.g. electronics, optoelectronics and sustainable building. This versatility is the fruit of productive synergic co-operations that Dr. Ricciotti has developed over the years with well-established research groups operating in diverse areas of activity. These cooperations have strongly contributed to the strengthening of the personality of Dr. Ricciotti. Today, she combines a dynamic and creative personality with a marked curiosity towards a plenty of cultural ambits. Furthermore, Dr. Ricciotti has a significant management ability, and is particularly suitable for team-work and leadership, attitudes matured also via an intense activity of supervision of students.

Philosophiae Doctor in Energy Science and Engineering. He's now performing a survey also engaging Cybernetics Department of CNR which has made available to me an infrared camera for thermal imaging. Furthermore, I’m deeping studies on asbestos remediation, too.
Graduated in Applied Mathematics in 1988 and post graduated both in Information Technology (1989) and in Structured Programming (1990).
He has worked in IBM Corporation as System Engineer, in charge of working groups in Washington, Raleigh (U.S.A.), Toronto, Stuttgart, London, Dublin, Tokyo. He worked on AS400 mainframe operating system and on OS/2 personal operating system, until 1998. Since 1999 has worked as math teacher in high school. Teacher in Information Technology courses for students and for teachers; IT tutor and counselor for Ministry of education. He has been appointed mathematics expert teacher in National Projects.
In 2008 – 2012 he studied Civil Engineering achieving MSc (magna cum laude). Since he obtained his PhD degree in Energy Science and Engineering in 2017; his actual interests are in infrared camera applications to investigate thermal properties of concretes.

She received her Ph.D. in “Energy Science and Engineering” at the University of Naples “Parthenope” in 2020 and a Master Degree in Civil Engineering from the same University. In 2013, she completed a Master in “Materials Science and Engineering” at the University of Sheffield (UK) defending a thesis titled “Plasma treatments of polymers for increased adhesion in composite materials”. In 2012, she graduated in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Salerno, submitting a final project titled: “Mechanical properties and manufacturing process of innovative sustainable cementitious materials”.
Ilenia’s research interests deal with the development of innovative materials for sustainable constructions.
She has conducted experimental studies to demonstrate the employability of plastic fibres obtained from waste plastic as dispersed reinforcement in cementitious materials. Furthermore, she has also developed new fibre geometries, with the aim of enhancing the thermo-mechanical performance of fibre reinforced concrete and mortars.
Her current research activity focuses on the development of new fiber-reinforced geopolymers using conventional raw materials as well as inorganic waste materials.
She is author of several scientific papers published in international peer-reviewed journal and international conference proceedings.
