Luciana Cimino received her Chemistry degree in March 2009 from the University of Napoli Federico II. She won several post graduate scholarships in R&D Projects in 2010 and 2011 at University of Napoli Parthenope and in 2013 she had begun a contract project related. She is also working from 2010 as tutoring training activities in the first level Master Course of Specialization in Safety Engineering at the University of Napoli Parthenope.
Her research activities embrace several topics: characterization of materials, measurements of pore size, volume, distribution, density, and other porosity-related characteristics with mercury intrusion porosimetry, Safety and industrial Hygiene, Inorganic/Inhalable powders determination, sampling of asbestos, Characterization and qualitative/quantitative determination of Asbestos Materials, analysis of work-related risk in industrial sites and environmental/ biological monitoring , characterization of heavy metals.
Now her research activities concern Materials Characterization with Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy and Phase Contrast Microscopy, Mercury Intrusion Porosimetry, Characterization of Organic Solvents with GC-MS procedure, Characterization of Powders with Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS).

Philosophiae Doctor in Energy Science and Engineering. He's now performing a survey also engaging Cybernetics Department of CNR which has made available to me an infrared camera for thermal imaging. Furthermore, I’m deeping studies on asbestos remediation, too.
Graduated in Applied Mathematics in 1988 and post graduated both in Information Technology (1989) and in Structured Programming (1990).
He has worked in IBM Corporation as System Engineer, in charge of working groups in Washington, Raleigh (U.S.A.), Toronto, Stuttgart, London, Dublin, Tokyo. He worked on AS400 mainframe operating system and on OS/2 personal operating system, until 1998. Since 1999 has worked as math teacher in high school. Teacher in Information Technology courses for students and for teachers; IT tutor and counselor for Ministry of education. He has been appointed mathematics expert teacher in National Projects.
In 2008 – 2012 he studied Civil Engineering achieving MSc (magna cum laude). Since he obtained his PhD  degree in Energy Science and Engineering in 2017; his actual interests are in infrared camera applications to investigate thermal properties of concretes.
